By recording and observing the items and foods in my own home, I have found that fruits and medications have a relatively short expiry date and each has appropriate storage conditions that are likely to cause storage problems or use problems when the user takes them home.
At the same time, I have learned from collecting online hospital data that the number of people suffering from drug misuse and food poisoning in China is increasing every year.
After 2 rounds of open structured interviews with young working people, I found that most of the keywords that resonated with the conversations revolved around expiry dates, medication use, and food storage.
After compiling all the key information from the research, I created an affinity diagram to analyse the key issues and ways to solve them, and merged ideas based on the mind map.
Create a suitable flow framework based on the solution, corresponding to each function and logic of the app to make it as logical and easy to use as possible.
The multi-dimensional content arrangement list is clear and intuitive.
Don't worry about the shortage of items, buy the required items with one click.
Scan the product barcode or manually enter the item information to easily enter the list.
Each item page will have detailed usage criteria, recommended storage methods and specific expiry dates.
This is for users who must aggregate information about items from various locations and compile all available data.
· Details can drive product creativity
There are actually many small things around us that can go on to trigger a design that may require us to break out of a lot of our otherwise fixed thinking to recreate it. Even though the changes may end up being small, I always have to maintain a willingness to innovate to think things through.
· Be more developmental in my thinking
I had shared this project of my own in a communication and one of the teachers at the time gave me a very visionary suggestion: you could try to incorporate the IoT theory. This immediately opened my mind because now the concept of smart home technology interconnection is applied by many manufacturers.
